I am SO EXCITED, VACATION month has finally arrived.  It has been too long since we have taken a family vacation but that is about to change.

My family and I are south bound later this month.  We are visiting Gatlinburg, one of my favorite getaways.  From there, an excursion to Nashville, a NEW favorite of mine.  I had the opportunity to visit Nashville for the first time earlier this year as part of a “work” trip. Loved it so much I cannot wait to return with those I love.  Trust me when I tell you we will splurge on Puckett’s Barbeque while we are there. When I say splurge, really, I mean splurge, as in lunch… everyday. It is my favorite Nashville eatery.  If you have never been, it alone is worth the trip (mmm, I can smell and taste it already).   Not only does Puckett’s have the best barbeque, their cobbler will put your grandma’s best recipe to shame. Seriously. You have to try it.

Kevin and I are blessed beyond measure to be able to gather with our adult children and grandchildren and take this trip together.  I’ve been talking about it all summer – being present and living in the moment.  So, I’m here with you in work mode for a few more weeks but am looking forward to being present and in the moment with my family very soon.

My hope is you have also been able to schedule quality time for yourself and those you hold most dear.  Time is precious and flows ever so swiftly.  Be sure to not only seize opportunities to recreate but to create opportunities to re-create as well.
